Radiohead were the musical guests for the season premiere of Saturday Night Live last Saturday. The band played two songs, “Lotus Flower” and “Staircase.” Both performances are below for you to watch.
As a reminder, the band will be guests on the Colbert Report tonight and play two NYC shows this week. It’s Radiohead week in New York!

We resisted as much as we could to post this, but it has to be done. What does The King of Limbs mean, anyway? According to Wikipedia, the name of the album possibly refers to an oak tree in Wiltshire’s Savernake Forest, thought to be 1,000 years old. The tree is a pollarded oak, referring to an ancient technique for harvesting timber for fencing and firewood. Though it does not feature on maps, the tree is said to be 3 miles (4.8 km) from Tottenham Court House, where Radiohead recorded part of their previous album In Rainbows.
