Radiohead announce more USA tour dates, Canada too

This morning Radiohead announced that they will be playing some dates in the East Coast of the United States as well as Canada this May/June.

May 29 – Comcast Center – Mansfield, MA
May 31 – Prudential Center – Newark, NJ
June 1 – Prudential Center – Newark, NJ
June 3 – Verizon Center – Washington, DC
June 5 – Riverbend Music Center – Cincinnati, OH
June 6 – Blossom Music Center – Cuyahoga Falls, OH
June 8 – Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival – Manchester, TN
June 10 – First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre – Tinley Park, IL
June 11 – The Palace of Auburn Hills – Auburn Hills, MI
June 13 – Susquehanna Bank Center – Camden, NJ
June 15 – Centre Bell – Montreal, QC
June 16 – Downsview Park – Toronto, ON

Hey, Radiohead will be interviewed on Canada’s MuchMusic today at 2pm EST.

News for March 14, 1998

Radiohead dropped 3 places on this week’s Billboard 200 to #40.

The show in Vancouver has moved from the PNE Forum to the Pacific Coliseum. This move has made more tickets available.

Corporate Tickets in Toronto have some tickets available for the Toronto show.

The new home video 7 Television Commercials will be released with an EP in America. There is no info on what will be included on this EP.

The new issue of CMJ New Music Monthly has a live version of No Surprises included in it’s free CD. The track was most likely recorded at last December’s Live at the 10 Spot gig on MTV.

The new EP, Airbag: How’s My Driving?, will include no new tracks: Airbag, Melatonin, Pearly*, A Reminder, Polyethylene (parts 1 & 2), Palo Alto, Meeting in the Aisle.

News for January 28, 1998

correction: bjork will be opening up for radiohead in toronto on april 12, not march 12. please adjust your day planners accordingly.

rumors are everywhere! the latest: a cleveland DJ announced on January 13 that radiohead would be on the lollapalooza 1998 bill. sheesh! also rumors of a washington d.c. and new york gig in april.

for all you folks in australia, MTV australia will be showing a special about the band on february 8. the festivities include a videography, a rockumentary, and a live concert special (probably last month’s Live at the 10 Spot.)

radiohead came away from this year’s NME awards with Best Album for OK COMPUTER and Best Radio One Evening Session. Thom thanked the people rather reluctantly from japan over the phone. [from radiohead-announce]

one last note: phil reportedly didn’t return to the band’s encore at the Fukuoka gig due to illness. we all hope that he is OK now.

it has been confirmed that bjork will open for radiohead on March 12, 1998 in toronto, canada. they will be playing in toronto’s maple leaf gardens. no info on ticket sales yet.

just found out that radiohead will be playing in austin texas for their opening date in the US. i have no date or venue as of yet.

it has also been known that the band will be playing at this year’s Grammy awards on february 25, 1998. the show will air on CBS.
