Back from a holiday…

I had some post-election blues that finally caught up with me, and took a bit of a holiday. Next time, I’ll tell you first.
Either way, thanks to both the kind emails and the Xanax, I’m back and ready for Radiohead news action. Please continue to send in your news stories and tips, and we’ll print them post-haste.

We believe you, possibly.

Thom was on the message board recently, and he had this to say:

JJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJe just to let you know the site ‘scrapbook’ section is being added to regularly now as well.. contrary to what the news sites are saying….
it randomizes contents and those contents will continue to expand, it is for us to look at as much as you, i hope you understand it is not supposed to be coherent..
its kind of funny the moaning about it i think.
well anyway, please dont flood because im jumping back out of the river now…..
luv thom
p.s. whats will all the anal retentive?

GP belives you, Thom. Or maybe we don’t. All I know is that Jonathan went digging through Radiohead.com about a month ago, and nobody’s heard from him since.
(Thanks to Marcie, whom we truly hope comes out OK.)

G4 sings with Sony, prepares cover of ‘Creep’.

00053556-52BC-119C-83AD80C328EC0000.jpg

X Factor non-winners G4 have gone ahead and scored a £1.5million deal with Sony anyway, proving that second place isn’t always that bad. Their first album will be a compilation of covers, and they will be recording a version of ‘Creep’.

I’ve will admit that I’ve never heard them, but given their game show background and looking at this picture I am not optimistic.

Radiohead.com and Slowly Downward updated.

Radiohead.com has received a small tweaking of the front page, and Stanley Donwood’s excellent Slowly Downward site is promising big things for us as well-

VERY SOON this will be a new website, with new stuff and probably most of this old stuff too. and there will be a proper shop too, called slowlydownward manufactory. because im making screenprints now as well as the things linked to below. there are a few prints available from w.a.s.t.e.

In addition, Stanley’s book Slowly Downward, which I highly recommend, is being put to print again, with a snappy new cover. You can order it through w.a.s.t.e..
(Thanks to Daniel.)

Tsunami fundraiser ends, with over $64,000 in donations.

Today we wrapped up the Politick Tsunami Fundraiser, and the grand total is over three times our original goal of $20,000. A small group of political junkies, and a large group of Radiohead fans, donated $64,382 to help the victims of the South Asian tsunami.
They don’t speak for us indeed. Nice one, gang.
Special thanks are due to the Mortigi Tempo community and Adriaan from At Ease for posting some updates for us.
