Jonny Greenwood made an appearance at the official Radiohead message board yesterday and described the band’s first day in their Los Angeles studio.
“Coz is playing bass right now, and singing along like a loony….pretty intense stuff in here! It’s day one, and going fine.” He also stated that the recording sessions will take a couple of weeks.
The night before, the band went to the Beck concert which Jonny described as “charming” and “ace”.
Massive Attack’s 3D posted on the band’s official website’s message board that they were planning to book ads in the NME to protest the recent threats from the US to attack Iraq. Radiohead may contribute, as 3D stated:
HELLO-WE HAVE BOOKED THE ADS IN THE NME-AND YES THEY CHARGED US ALOT-DAMON HAS MADE AN AMAZING FINANCIAL CONTRIBUTION TO THE CAUSE-RADIOHEAD HAVE BEEN IN TOUCH WITH CND FROM THE US-THEY MAY ALSO CONTRIBUTE.THERE WILL BE 2 DOUBLE PAGE SPREADS IN THE TWO EDITIONS OF THE NME-PROCEEDING THE MARCH IN LONDON-AND THE PETITION HANDOVERS.
The Vapour Brothers have a new website up with a lot of Radiohead goodness, including clips of the “amateur night” webcasts Radiohead did while recording Kid A. The Vapour Brothers directed the “I Might Be Wrong” video and helped out with the promotional blips.

On MTV Europe, the Foo Fighters proclaimed that The Bends was their #1 rock album of all time.
