As you probably know, Spin magazine has a pretty big feature on Radiohead in their July issue. Along with interviews with the band, Hail to the Thief get a favorable “A” review.

MTV UK & Ireland will broadcast an hour-long exclusive performance from Radiohead, on June 8. Radiohead’s MTV Live gig will take place at London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire on May 25, before airing on the channel, and throughout MTV Networks Europe, in the coming weeks.
A 30-minute exclusive interview with the band, titled “Behind-The-Scenes With Radiohead”, will be shown in the final run-up to the concert broadcast on June 8 at 8.30pm, with the concert kicking off at 9pm.

Across the Line is a show on Radio Ulster, which is available on 94.5 fm in Northern Ireland.

Yesterday Ed and Phil did a quick 5 minute interview on Muchmusic. They talked about the album title, saying it referred to not only George W. Bush but other situations which made them afraid of the future. Next the artwork was discussed, explaining it (and the entire album in general) was Stanley and Thom influenced by the warm atmosphere in L.A., picking out words that are constantly around us. Ed revealed that he only recently listened to The Bends since that album was finished and compared it to listening to a favorite record that someone grows up with. Finally the leak was discussed, with Ed and Phil commenting that they didn’t like it, only because it was unfinished work, and they are generally in favor of file sharing programs and the internet.

Newsweek has a review of the new album saying that “Hail to the Thief is both dazzling and frustrating, but it refuses to give up its secrets even after a dozen listens.”
