Tenacious D and Radiohead

The new Tenacious D double-disc DVD set, The Complete Masterworks, features a medley of classic songs during the live concert- one of those songs being” Paranoid Android”.
Tenacious D has covered Radiohead before- there’s a recording floating around that features the same part of Paranoid Android as the DVD medley, as well as the first verse of Airbag. Search for a song called, I kid you not, “They Fucked Our Asses”.

UPDATED: w.a.s.t.e. Oz Tix On Sale Now

The w.a.s.t.e. Ticket Emporium has tickets available for the two new shows, in addition to some extras for the first Melbourne show. These tickets include both GA standing tix (a.k.a. Pit) and reserved seats, so bop on over to w.a.s.t.e. and make it your lucky day.
UPDATE: GA tickets are sold out, but reserved seats remain for the two new shows (24th and 27th) in Sydney and Melbourne, respectively. Better hurry.

UPDATED: Two More Oz Shows…Tix on Sale Now

Tickets for both Austrailian shows went on sale today, and quickly sold out. The Sydney show sold out in 11 minutes, and the Melbourne show went quickly after (NOTE- as of now, single tickets are available again for the Melbourne show). Ticketmaster7.com was virtually useless, and Ticketek didn’t seem to hold up much better.
The good news, however, is that two new dates went onsale quickly after-
Saturday, April 24th in Sydney.
Tuesday, April 27th in Melbourne.
Tickets are currently available for both, but they’re going quickly. Rush over to Ticketek for Syndey tickets and Ticketmaster7 for the Melbourne shows.
In addition, several reports have come in of tickets being made available 20-30 minutes after allegedly selling out. This is very common for online ticketing- it’s the result of browsers timing out or credit cards being declined. The wise man who never gives up after being told a show is sold out is the wise man who generally winds up scoring tickets. Patience is a virtue indeed…
(Thanks to Chris, Frances, Jack, Simon, Matthew, and all those who wrote in. Keep us posted!)
UPDATE: The shows on the 23rd and 26th are again saying sold out (though are wouldn’t hurt to keep checking). Upper section seats remain for the 24th and 27th, though odds are you’ll get better tickets through the w.a.s.t.e. Ticket Shop.
