Christopher O’Riley knows. Well, at least he know what’s legally on paper. Warner Brothers’ deal with O’Riley requires that the authors of each song be credited on the title page of his arrangements, and they’ve given him a list of the authors to help him along.
However, unlike in the liner notes, it appears that as far as Warner Brothers is concerned, all songs are not “by Radiohead”. Instead, each song is credited to certain members of the band. Thom gets credit on all of them, but the rest are an interesting mix. General consensus is that this isn’t entirely correct, and was mainly done for legal reasons, but it’s interesting to look at anyway.

Old RH as Filler Music on CNN HN
Patrick writes in to tell us that CNN Headline News has been using “Vegetable” as filler music right before and right after commercials. Personally, I wish they’d use 2+2=5 or The Gloaming on Fox News, but no such luck yet.
(Thanks to Patrick.)
The latest album from jazz vocalist Ian Shaw, World Still Turning, features a cover version of “The Tourist”.

The astute folks over at the New York Times made a list of ten CDs (in random order) that still sound good, and “The Bends” is in there.
What they said-
‘THE BENDS’ Radiohead (Capitol, 1995):
Both this CD and its follow-up, “O.K. Computer,” are among the most virtuosic, spellbinding rock releases of the last decade, blazing a path that other bands can watch from a distance. And though “O.K. Computer” is a better work of art, the more rock-driven “The Bends” has the better songs.
Check out the entire list, which also features really good CDs by Air, PJ Harvey, Lucinda Williams, OutKast, and Dr. Octagon, here.
