Radiohead’s Dead Air Space has been updated again with news that the band were back in the studio.
Jonny takes the time to talk about his “six solid months” of listening to nothing but reggae while his brother Colin posts about Andre 3000.
Neither shed any light on how recording is going.
Interview with Stanley
There is an interview with Stanley Donwood over at antiMUSIC. Here’s an excerpt:
antiMUSIC: What has been your personal favorite piece of art you’ve done for Radiohead (and also your favorite outside of Radiohead)?
Stanley: That is too hard a question for me. I’ve been pretty happy, on the whole, with all of the Radiohead work that I’ve done. Though maybe the long landscapes in the Kid A booklet could be a favourite. My personal non-Radiohead piece was a now-lost image which was composed of the advertising strapline, logo and blurb for a Ford car called the Probe. I replaced the picture of the car with a photo of a big erect cock. It was very popular, but the magazine that had commissioned the picture refused to print it.
The Radiohead icon contest that has been going on over at our message board, Mortigi Tempo, has come to a close and the winners have been announced! Congratulations to David Allen for his Mac OS X icons and Joseph Hosford for the Windows icons. Sadly, there were no Linux icons submitted.
Radiocoocoo, who came up with the contest and judged the entries, has this to say:
Thanks to all that entered my contest . I got many entries, well over a 100 of them, some good, some just silly. But none the less I have looked them all over and chosen the best I could.
A few things I looked for was originality, perspective, clarity and usefulness .
Lets also give a big hand to Jonathan for allowing me to do this contest on his message board & of course Stanley Donwood for supplying us with his art and creative writing over the past 9 years!!! oh yes its been nine years!
Make sure to visit his website its pretty weird, if yu like weird yu’ll like this www.slowlydownward.com
And always remember to SUPPORT the arts!
Again, thank yu ALL for making my desktop a fun space I sure hope you enjoy them too.
best wishes,
Radiocoocoo AKA. Rex Vanstee

Hurricane Katrina Video
A touching made “from scratch” video about Hurricane Katrina’s devastation in New Orleans and the gulf coast is available to view here. You’ll notice that the song playing is Radiohead’s “Like Spinning Plates” and it seems to fit appropriately.
