Radiohead has been included in the AV Club’s list of Ten Memorable Saturday Night Live Musical Moments. Coming in at #9, Radiohead is in good company with other acts like Patti Smith, Simon & Garfunkle, and Pearl Jam.

Even rock fans who’ve never understood the appeal of Radiohead’s tuneless, quasi-experimental phase can wrap their heads around the band’s SNL performance of “Idioteque,” from perhaps its most “difficult” album, Kid A. On disc, the Kid A material is ragged and jagged, and at times purposefully off-putting. Live, “Idioteque” in particular becomes a kind of invigorating nightmare, as Thom Yorke whines about an “ice ace coming… this is really happening” while the band cranks out an otherworldly, escalating noise. When the song abruptly stops, it’s almost a relief. The world ends. The world spins on.

Tickets for the V Festival sold out in less than three hours Friday leaving many fans searching on places like eBay only to find prices jacked up to nearly three times their face value.
In other festival news, there are reports that Radiohead will be playing the Rock en Seine Festival at Parc Saint Cloud, Paris, France on August 25 and 26. This still hasn’t been confirmed.

Radiohead, along with Morrissey, was officially confirmed as headliners at this year’s V Festival.
On announcing the line up Bob Angus, V Festival Director, said: “We’re very proud to be presenting Radiohead, one of the most important bands in live music today, as headliners for this year’s V.
Other acts include Keane, Faithless, Fatboy Slim, Starsailor, Groove Armada, The Magic Numbers, The Ordinary Boys, James Dean Bradfield, Sugababes and The Feeling.
The festival take place on the weekend of August 19-20. Tickets go sale Friday, March 3 at 9:30am with weekend camping tickets cost £120, or £100 for both days without camping and day tickets priced at £58.50.

An album of various artists covering the songs of Radiohead will hit shelves this spring.
Entitled Exit Music: Songs For Radioheads, the release will feature covers of the band’s hits including Karma Police, No Surprises and High and Dry.
The album will be available from April, whilst a single release of Just by Mark Ronson and Alex Greenwald (frontman of Phantom Planet) will hit shelves on March 13.

To a lot of Radiohead fans, this is music to their ears. Thom updated Dead Air Space today with what’s been happening in the studio. It seems as if “Nude” (sometimes called “Big Ideas”) is being recorded as a possible track on the new album. This song has been kicking around since the OK Computer days and is definitely a crowd favorite.

right now we are working on nude, it sounds beautiful, as far as i can tell.
i hope we dont get i’ll. there is a lot of sickness about. especially for the children.
