Lack of updates and ticket info

I’m sorry for the lack of updates over the last couple of weeks. Unfortunately, I haven’t had much time to post news updates as I’ve been strapped for time trying to move across the country. Updates should resume in the next couple of days… thanks for your patience!
One question I get often is whether or not tickets bought through w.a.s.t.e. are any better than ones from Ticketmaster. The simple answer is yes. The venue allows w.a.s.t.e. the best seats in the house but they have to take an allocation from every area also (like pit, lawn, seating, etc…). So, in most cases, tickets bought through w.a.s.t.e. will be better.
Mel from w.a.s.t.e. told us the following: “If the venue is all General Admission then ‘best’ becomes whether you are prepared to queue. For reserved seating we (w.a.s.t.e.) try to get as close to stage as possible at all times. Unfortunately I can’t guarantee this 100% and what constitutes best often differs from person to person.”

Wayne Coyne: Let’s Record with Radiohead

From the NME:
THE FLAMING LIPS singer WAYNE COYNE has told NME.COM he wants the band to record new music with RADIOHEAD.
The bands have long been mutual admirers of each other’s work. The Lips played the Pyramid Stage immediately before Radiohead at Glastonbury last month (June 28) and are now strongly tipped to support Thom Yorke and co. on their forthcoming US tour.
Coyne admitted: “We’re talking about doing a couple of things. I know there is a sort of experimental TV show that comes out of Chicago that we’re both scheduled to do. The show typically pairs people together of the same ilk. They’ve been wanting to get us up there for a while, but they haven’t found anybody that seemed worthy of a show.
“Radiohead are talking about doing it, so we could start there around about the middle of September.”
He added: “If I could get my way, we’d get right in there and do something with them. If we’re in the same room for a couple of hours with a lot of musical gear lying around, I’d say ?Let’s try something?.”

Two NY Dates Added

Radiohead has added two October shows at New York’s Madison Square Garden to the itinerary for its North American tour, set to kick off Aug. 13 in Boston. The Oct. 9-10 shows in New York will close the 22-date tour, following an Oct. 6 engagement in Atlanta.
Tickets for the New York gigs and an Oct. 2 appearance in New Orleans go on sale July 18. A Sept. 25-26 stand at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles goes on sale July 19, along with dates in Houston, Atlanta and West Palm Beach, Fla. Tickets to the Sept. 23 concert in Mountain View, Calif. go on sale July 20. As usual, Radiohead’s online fan organization Waste is also offering tickets to its members.
Supergrass will open the second leg of the tour; former Pavement frontman Stephen Malkmus and his band the Jicks will provide support for the tour’s first 12 dates.
