A little snippet from a Billboard article…and it’s good news indeed!
Despite being on a break, Radiohead has lately not been far from its Oxford, England-based studio. “I was in the Radiohead studio just a couple of hours ago,” guitarist Jonny Greenwood told Billboard.com yesterday (Jan. 12). “[Drummer] Phil [Selway] was there drumming and recording and [lead singer] Thom [Yorke] has been in and out. We don’t take time off very well. We’re enjoying it still, so why just go home and do nothing?”

Coachella Confirmed? Yes and No.
The NME is reporting that Radiohead have been confirmed to headline the Coachella Festival this May 1-2 in Indio, California.
However, when Billboard asked about it, Jonny’s response was “It’s something we’ve talked about but I don’t know if it is confirmed.”
The Coachella official website has nothing to say about it (nothing to say at all, in fact), but all indications are that this is a go. Other bands that are confirmed include Air, Prefuse 73, The Thrills, and Electric Six, and The Pixies are rumoured to be regrouping for a performance.

Financial Times Bashes Bodysong Score
From a Christmas movie round-up in the Financial Times-
“Bodysong ( Simon Pummell) is the true pre-Christmas killer in the art-movie stocking: a docu-journey from birth to death via sex, war, famine and terrorism. Writer-director Simon Pummell bombards us with birth-channelled babies, rutting couples and starving Africans, then says we can be saved by dreams, art and communication.
Johnny “Radiohead” Greenwood’s score, grinding out apocalypse on dissonant strings and cueing revelation with sub-Philip Glass strummings, should be put in a bad music hall of fame.”

The final twenty of loopholes have gone up on radiohead.com today – thank you very much to the hundreds and hundreds of people who entered tracks for the competition, we had a good laugh listening to them all, and also thanks to everyone who downloaded and listened someone else’s track from the site, hopefully a few of them caught your ear. These last twenty will stay up for one month now, and then the Loophole site will be put to sleep. Thanks once again to everyone who put in so much hard work – the response was amazing.
