Green Plastic Radiohead

Radiohead are featured in the “1010 Songs You Must Own” list in the September issue of Q magazine. ‘Paranoid Android’, ‘Morning Bell/Amnesic’, ‘No Surprises’, ‘Scatterbrain’, ‘Pyramid Song’ and Thom Yorke’s duet with PJ Harvery ‘This Mess We’re In’ are all mentioned.

As previously reported, John from over at The Hub has gotten his hands on a promo VHS containing four episodes of The Most Gigantic Lying Mouth of All Time, or Radiohead TV. He’s been kind enough to send us some screenshots from the as-yet-unreleased fourth episode. He’s in the process of getting some full-quality super-duper digital captures, but in the meantime he’s given us some “down-and-dirty” pictures of his television set.

It has come to my attention, after receiving about a year’s worth of email and news updates from Radiohead fans, that you are some of the most computer-savvy fans around. Which tells me that if you were to get an email like this-

Dear user of greenplastic.com (or whatever your ISP is),
Your e-mail account has been used to send a huge amount of junk email during this week.
Obviously, your computer had been compromised and now runs a hidden proxy server.
Please follow instructions in order to keep your computer safe.
Best regards,
The greenplastic.com (or your ISP) team.

you would
A) realize that we would never refer to ourselves as “The greenplastic.com team”
B) realize that we would word any email about something like this in a far more clever manner,
and
C) know way better than to open the suspiciously named ZIP file at the bottom.
Just making sure.
PS- There’s always a tradeoff. If you buy a Mac, you don’t have to worry about this stuff. But then, you can’t run SoulSeek, either. What to do?

Roth, an admin over at the Hub, managed to get his hands on a VHS promo copy of Radiohead TV, aka The Most Gigantic Lying Mouth of All Time. However, while three episodes have thus far been released, this video featured four. He’s been kind enough to post a desciption on the Hub board, which we have copied and pasted below.

Radiohead’s music is featured in the excellent big-wave surfing video The Ride. You can check out the trailer and debate whether you have the intestinal fortitude to ride 60 MPH down a 65′ wall of water here.

Hanson (yes, MMMMbop Hanson), have apparently taken to covering ‘Optimistic’ on their current tour. At Ease reports that they’ve opened both of their Irving Plaza shows with the very un-MMMMboppy tune.
